Let us begin with the most important fact: you are not alone. Some degree of difference between the breasts is present in nearly all women. No two sides of the body are perfectly identical. The question is not whether asymmetry exists, but to what degree.

What Causes Asymmetry?
Common causes include genetics, uneven development during puberty, previous breast injury or surgery and hormonal conditions. In most cases, it is entirely natural variation.
When Should Treatment Be Considered?
Mild asymmetry is normal and causes no difficulty for most women. When the difference is pronounced, it may affect confidence and quality of life. A significant difference in breast size or weight can also contribute to back pain through uneven weight distribution. In these situations, treatment may be entirely appropriate.
How Is It Corrected?
Every case is different. Following a comprehensive assessment, the plan may involve augmentation, reduction, lift, reshaping or a combination, including adjustment of the nipples and areolae. Recovery is often relatively short, with a return to normal activities within several days, depending on the operation.
Please note: every body is different and results vary from patient to patient. Every operation involves a recovery period and risks, which are reviewed in detail during the consultation.
