This patient, in her forties, underwent bariatric surgery and subsequently lost 60 kilograms. She had also given birth and undergone three cesarean sections. She came to me with the typical excess tissue following massive weight loss, extending well beyond the front of the abdomen.

Why a Circumferential Operation?
After weight loss of this magnitude, excess skin can extend around the abdomen, waist, lower back, thighs and buttocks. A circumferential abdominoplasty allowed me to repair muscle separation, remove excess skin around the torso and lift the outer thighs and buttocks.

The Result — After Only Two Weeks
The photographs were taken only two weeks after surgery. At such an early stage it is normally difficult to assess the aesthetic result, yet the change is already visible. The result will continue to improve substantially throughout the first year.
Please note: every body is different and results vary from patient to patient. Every operation involves a recovery period and risks, which are reviewed in detail during the consultation.
