A 40-year-old patient came to my clinic after completing her family. Like many women at this stage, she was left with loose, excess abdominal skin that affected her daily life and did not improve after medical weight-loss treatment.
When excess skin, separated abdominal muscles and persistent fat are involved, diet and exercise alone may not be enough. These are structural changes, which is precisely where abdominoplasty can help.

What the Operation Included
During the abdominoplasty, we addressed three issues at the same time:
- Excess skin — removal of loose, excess skin;
- Persistent fat deposits — treated with precise liposuction;
- Separated abdominal muscles (diastasis) — bringing together muscles separated during pregnancy, tightening the abdominal wall and significantly improving the waistline.

The Result
The photographs show the change just three months after surgery. Recovery is still underway at this stage, and the result will continue to improve over the following months as swelling subsides and the tissues settle.

Please note: every body is different and results vary from patient to patient. Like any operation, abdominoplasty involves a recovery period and risks, which are reviewed in detail during the consultation.
Wondering whether abdominoplasty is right for you? We would be happy to discuss which option may be right for you.
